StrLength

Use this function to calculate the length of a character string.

Syntax

STRLENGTH ("String")

where:

  • String is a character string, enclosed in double quotation marks.

Syntax example

NumChars = STRLENGTH ("11234")

CREATE VARIABLE NumTemp1 AS NUMSET VARIABLE NumTemp1 = STRLENGTH ("StringTest")

// NumTemp1 will equal 10
