Getting Started In Longview Dashboard Designer

Longview Dashboard Designer enables you to create and publish dashboards to define the user’s web interface.

Launching Longview Dashboard Designer

This section explains how to start Longview Dashboard Designer. Dashboard Designer is included as a module in the Longview Client.

To access Dashboard Designer:

1. Sign onto your homepage.
2. Depending on your system configuration:
   1. Click the Longview Client, Longview Close, or Longview Tax icon.
      1. Click on the current module and select Dashboard Designer.
   2. Alternatively, click on the Longview Dashboard Designer icon if it is available.

Understanding Longview Dashboards

The Longview web interface consists of one or more dashboards, including a default dashboard that is displayed when a user signs in. Additional dashboards assigned to the user are accessed via the horizontal bar menu in the main title bar. The layout of a dashboard consists of one or more cards that display different types of content.

System Administrators can use the designer to configure the dashboards for user groups.

Longview Dashboard Designer consists of these parts:

• Dashboards used to define the layout of content displayed to a user
• Cards used to define the content displayed to a user
• Administration used to assign pages to one or more groups
