Updating Workflow Status
The Update Workflow Status app allows you to update the status of a workflow step.
Pre-requisites:
- Workflow process must be activated
- Workflow step must be created
- You need access to the step and proper role
- Owner
- Approver
- If the step is hierarchical, you need access to the dimension
If there are no published workflow processes that contain a workflow step, you don’t have access to the workflow step, or you don’t have access to the dimension in a hierarchical step, an error will be displayed, and the app will exit.
Launching Update Workflow Status
Workflow steps can now be added to a process map to have the status updated within the process map.
When you select the step within the process map, you will be presented with a dialog box to update the status of the step, if you have access. If the step is Hierarchical and you have selected a symbol in the navigation pane, you will not need to select the symbol here. If you did not select a symbol in the navigation pane, a drop down will be provided to select the proper symbol.
You are required to select a symbol (when applicable), select a radio button for the new status and fill in the comment box to submit the new status.
