Reviewing Data Audit
The Show Audit Trail app can be used to analyze an intersection in a report or app in order to view the underlying data changes. Show audit trail can be used to review audit detail for an area defined by a cell in a report or data area.
Note: This feature is only available if data audit trail is enabled in your system.

Viewing the Audit Table
The Audit table appears within a tab that displays the data changes that have been made within the intersection selected.
Note: Data changes made via journal entry are not included
Note: Only data changes made by submission are tracked, as such there is no audit for intersections that are full calculated by the server (such as translated currencies, intersections calculated by period activity or year-to-date calculations, or values calculated by server rules).
The table contains the following columns:
Column | Description |
---|---|
Batch ID | The identifier of the submission job that created the change in value. |
Previous Value | The value in the intersection prior to the submission. |
Change in Value | The net change in value caused by the submission. |
New Value | The value in the intersection after the submission. |
Date | The date of the submission. |
User | The user that performed the submission. Note: Submissions created by an event based calculation will display EVENT_ADMIN. |
Comment | The comment provided with the submission. |
Dimension | One column for each dimension in the database. The set of symbols in the columns defines the intersection that was updated by the submission. |
