System setup for intercompany reports
Intercompany report setup allows you to configure the available symbol selections when an intercompany report is executed.
Configuring intercompany report restrictions
By default the intercompany report allows the user to select from all available symbols (restricted by user access). For simplicity reasons you may want to restrict the available symbols to make the report selections more intuitive for the user.
Accessing intercompany report setup
- Select the Consolidate module.
- Select the Administration category.
- Expand System.
- Click Intercompany Report Setup. The intercompany report setup dialog appears.
Modifying intercompany report restrictions
The default state is no restrictions selected for all dimensions and no elimination entity selection roots. Depending on the number of hierarchies in the system you may want to provide options for elimination entity selection, to limit the output in a single report.
To limit the elimination entity options:
- Select one or more symbols.
- The selected symbols can be any combination of parent symbols and individual elimination entities.
Note: In any case the user will still be able to select All in order to have no restriction on the report query.
To limit the symbols available in the report:
- Select one or more symbols for a dimension.
- Repeat for each dimension to be restricted.
- Click OK. The report restrictions are saved.
Note: When executed the report will only allow the user to select from the hierarchies specified.
